Tom Jones

Tom has worked in the Fitness industry for 6 years with a passion for getting people (and himself) stronger using functional strength training methods. Tom’s passion for strength and conditioning has brought him on to a national stage representing the NT in Olympic Weightlifting in the 94kg category on more than one occasion.

Tom has a slightly different approach to health and fitness with a firm belief of everything must be in moderation.
“I tend to live by the 80/20 (or 90/10 depending on my mood!) rule especially with my diet. I eat mainly a plant based diet however i still like to enjoy a steak and eggs when the time is right!”
Tom moved over from the UK in 2008, was not the picture of health whatsoever, indulging in the ‘finer’ things in life and partying on a regular basis. It has taken a few years to achieve balance with his lifestyle and diet, with his goal being to show others that you can have a body to be proud of and still enjoy life to the fullest but in moderation.

Tom’s training principles are simple, you must work as hard as you can in each session and leave nothing on the table. Tom’s unique communication methods engage clients and help them to learn how to train themselves so they can continue on their training journey for life. “Teaching people how to lift correctly and safely is paramount for me. Enabling people to progress without a Personal Trainer is the overall goal. Eating right, training hard and bettering yourself should be for life not just for a few months before a holiday”.

Tom’s life mantra is to try, in some capacity, to grow mentally and physically on a daily basis. An avid reader of mindset development literature and a passion for self development, Tom aims to help people see that change is possible and that self development in some capacity is critical to a happy and productive life.
