Ladies, if you want to lose belly fat then you are going to have to up your game in the kitchen. Every mouthful you consume should be taking you towards your goal. Have one cheat day a week and the rest of the week keep it clean. Opt for slower digesting carbohydrate choices such as oats, sweet potatoes and whole wheat and ensure your protein comes from lean sources.
1. Drink plenty of water
Ensue you stay well hydrated because your cells need water in order to flush out the free radicals and carry our all essential processes including the metabolisation of body fat. If you don’t drink enough you can also look bloated!
2. HIIT cardio
High intensity interval training is a great way of getting rid of body fat fast! HIIT revs up your metabolism and puts your body in a oxygen deficit meaning it has to work harder even after you have finished training to recover. The good news is that you only have to perform 15-20 minutes of HIIT at once.
Plyometrics are a series of high octane, explosive movements that are designed to get your heart rate up fast and burn some serious calories. They are an excellent way to combat bell fat as well as helping to tone up your core and mid section.
4. Infra Red Sauna
Didn’t know about IR Saunas? You need to get to know! Aside from making you feel fresh as a daisy after a big night out, IR Saunas have been proven to help detoxify the body. In a normal sauna (wet sauna) you sweat buckets however theres not much but water and salt in that stuff! In an IR sauna up to 25% of your sweat contains toxins that need to be excreted which is why its so great for fatloss, reducing inflammation and helping you to live a little longer a little happier. You create a calorie deficit (no shakes, no pills and no BS) and you can create a nice one by lifting weights and eating like a normal human being! Let’s put it all together into a seriously effective belly fat blasting routine! Next time you work out, try this fat torching routine and repeat it 3 times a week:
- 20 minutes of HIIT Training- This could be on the rower, skipping rope of sprint intervals – 1-minute steady, 1-minute sprint.
- Plyometric circuit – 20 burpees, 20 jump squats, 20 crunches & 10 renegade rows, repeat circuit 3 times.
